" The House was originally the Coach House for nearby Ash House allowing the gentry to park their carriages whilst they extended St James Church.
Following the demise of horse drawn carriages The Old Coach House became a store and garage for a local resident Mr. Peter Joyce,who bought the building and converted it into the residence you see today.
The WaterPump at the side of the cottage was once the water supply for the whole village,it is listed and owned by the Parish Cuncil."
